Porsche Gipfeltreffen – Following in the Footsteps of the Rallye Monte-Carlo One of the most important ingredients in the Porsche universe is invisible. The soul of Porsche is the glue that holds everything together. It lives, among other things, through Porsche customers and fans who have remained loyal to the brand for generations—celebrating it, continually reinventing it through their own activities, and passing their passion on to the next generation. That was exactly what this year’s Gipfeltreffen demonstrated: 80 cars and 100 drivers, ranging from the 356 A to the 992 GT3 Manthey, every generation of the 911, and Porsche drivers aged from 20 to 85. The Porsche Museum brought along the 911 F22 prototype, Walter Röhrl joined us with his rally 911 (911 SC), and Marc Lieb took the wheel of the 918 Spyder. And then there was an original Rallye Monte-Carlo 911 RS—privately owned! Three days driving through the south of France, a route that could hardly have been better, and a vibe you only get with Porsche. Once again, those three days were far too short to have a proper conversation with everyone. What remains is the memory of a brief dream that became reality. Thank you to Porsche Germany for making it happen, to the Porsche Museum, and above all to all the Porsche fans who joined us. See you next year!
