4 Jahre nach dem Erscheinen der ersten Auflage “CURVES Band 1 Frankreich: Lausanne - Nizza” ist Fotograf Stefan Bogner die legendäre Route des Grandes Alpes erneut gefahren. Daraus entstand dieser Band, eine Neuausgabe mit komplett neuen Fotos und Texten.
Auch beim zweiten Mal gab es für Bogner viel Neues zu entdecken. Und so ist der erste Band der Reihe mit 256 Seiten so umfangreich wie kein CURVES-Magazin zuvor. Zum ersten Mal gibt Bogner in einem 32-seitigen Making-Of auch einen Blick hinter die Kulissen. Ein Poster mit Route liegt zudem bei.

COMPLETELY RE-PHOTOGRAPHED IN 2015 + 32 PAGES MAKING OF • FRANCE: the Route des Grandes Alpes. It was opened in 1913 for five stages and takes you through the Alps to the Mediterranean on the Cote d’Azur, crossing 16 high Alpine passes in the process. Nine of these passes have an altitude of over 2,000 metres, and include the highest paved pass in the Alps, the Col de l’Iseran at an altitude of 2,770 metres. With a length of approx. 700 kilometres, the route overcomes a difference in altitude of 15,700 metres. It is regarded as one of the most beautiful routes in the world.
