The moment of departure is always like seeing our planet anew: you never know what might happen, what adventures may unfold. It’s wonderful that we experience this so often, every day in fact. Secretly, however, a yearning grows for the ultimate adventure. For a trip that could take us to the end of the world. For the latest edition of CURVES, this yearning led us to the foot of the Rocky Mountains in a search for evidence of a daring theory: opposites attract. Sports cars and the Wild West, long straights in the desert and CURVES, for instance. We were truly amazed at just how congruous this turned out to be. And it wasn’t just about savoring the pass roads over the Rocky Mountains or surfing through curves under the blue skies of the Sierra Nevada... it went much deeper than that. It was about freedom. About being alive. No contrasts far and wide. Only joy.
